Integrated marketing is truly about relationship building. The customer is at the heart of every marketing decision and my integrated campaign planning begins with business drivers and audience identification. Campaign development stems from four categories of objectives: new business, retention, follow-on sales, and user support. These objectives act as the first criteria for selecting the customer segment. From there, personas are used to carefully determine campaign tactics that will address customer interests and needs along each touch point of the customer journey. Planning and execution must both be informed by precise success criteria. Establishing key performance indicators for every touchpoint allows for effective marketing spend and agile data-driven changes to be made.
